What is a hosted web application?
A hosted application is one where hosting is included in the price you pay for the service. This means that BadgeTracker isn't available for purchase on CD or download. When you subscribe you will receive a year of hosting for your program and a custom sub-domain to access your program with. This allows you to enjoy all the benefits of the program without any of the hassels of installation, maintenance and up keep.
What about privacy, security, and confidentiality?
Privacy and security of your camp's and troop's information is our number one priority. BadgeTracker doesn't require any sensitive information in order to function. The only information needed for registration is name, age, and rank. Regardless of the information being gathered, BadgeTracker is installed on servers that are protected by industry standard firewall protection and any sensitive information that is stored in our database is encrypted.
Can we try it before we have to pay for it?
Yes, you can sign-up for a free account at any time and get 50 free camper credits to use for testing.
How hard is to implement or start using BadgeTracker with my camp?
BadgeTracker was built to conform to your camp, not the other way around. All you have to do to start using the program is enter the activities your offering, enter the troops attending camp, and point your campers to your camp portal. It's that easy!
Why a per-camper fee and not a flat fee?
A camp handling registration for 500 campers has different system (hardware and software) requirements than a camp handling registration for 2000 campers. Camps handling more campers will be putting a larger strain on the system and be consuming more system resources than a camp with fewer campers. Because of this we have choosen to charge on a per-camper basis.
Are adult leaders included in the per-camper fee?
It depends. If your camp will be offering adult scheduling for activites at camp through the program then the answer is yes. If your camp is only interested in offering scheduling for scouts then the answer is no. However, if your camp intends on offering adult scheduling for activities but wont be offering a lot of adult activities (which means not all adults will be able to register) special pricing arrangements can be made. Can BadgeTracker handle block scheduling?
